Text message program

Consent wording version 2026-09-v2

Doo Defense sends text messages to customers about their own yard-cleaning visits. This page describes how you agree to receive them, what they say, and how to stop them.

How you agree

Texts are optional. You are asked once, on the last step of signing up at getdoodefense.com/signup, by a checkbox that starts unticked and sits separately from the Terms of Service agreement. You can leave it unticked and still buy the service — it is not a condition of anything.

The checkbox reads:

Text me about my service — visit reminders, arrival alerts and cleanup photos. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

If you tick it, we store the date and time, the exact wording above, and the IP address the agreement came from, so we can show what you agreed to if it is ever questioned. If you leave it unticked, no record is created and the service will not text you at all.

What we send

Only messages about your own service:

  • A reminder the day before a scheduled cleanup.
  • An alert when your technician arrives.
  • A message when your yard is finished, with a photo of your closed gate.
  • A notice if weather moves your visit to another day.
  • A notice if a payment fails and your plan is paused.
  • A message if we correct your yard size after seeing it, telling you the new price.
  • A reply from a person, if you text us back.

No marketing. No promotions, offers, discounts or win-back messages are sent to this number. Agreeing to the messages above does not permit them, and adding any would require asking you again.

How to stop them

Reply STOP to any message and they end immediately — that works whether or not you tell us first, and it switches off our own permission to text you as well. Reply HELP for help. You can also turn texts off in your account settings, or ask us at getdoodefense.com/contact. Stopping texts does not affect your cleaning service.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

The rest

Your phone number is covered by our Privacy Policy, and the service itself by our Terms of Service. We do not sell or share phone numbers, and no third party is given your number for their own marketing.
